Today we are glad to present an updated version of TMetric with a fully functional Time Off module. Since the preview release of this module, we've made significant improvements and added more useful features: Estimate Time Off, balance filtering and grouping, the Show missed workdays option, and enhanced Team Summary report.
Please note that this feature is added to the Business plan.
TMetric allows you to set up a flexible time off policy, quickly ask for days off, thoroughly control missed workdays, easily manage balances, and more.
So, let's explore capabilities for more effective time off management together.
Creating rules for time off
To get started with Time Off, simply add a new policy for your organization. A time off policy represents a set of rules regulating time off accrual, spending and compensation. TMetric allows creating any type of time off policy (vacation, sick leave, personal) in a couple of simple steps:
- Go to Time Off and select Policies.
- Click New Policy and configure settings for your business needs.
- Click Save.
When a time off policy is succesfully created and vacation time is allotted to employees, on the Estimate Time Off screen, they can easily control their time off usage and availability. This can help them smoothly book a vacation far in advance without calculating available days off in mind. Learn more about how to estimate time off in our documentation.
Requesting time off from work
TMetric offers employees a fast and simple way to ask for time off from work by submitting a time off request. No more leave emails or discussions.
To create a new request, you need just:
- Go to Time Off and select Requests.
- Click Request Time Off and enter the data you need.
- Click Save.
With the Show missed workdays option on, you can easily track employees' absences and deal with missed time from work.
The Time Off Balances report shows detailed information on balances of all your workspace members. To better manage all this data, you can use the following filters: Team, Policy, and Requests. You can also group table data logically by User and Policy depending on your current needs.
Time off management can be a challenge for large companies with hundreds of employees that still use leave emails and spreadsheets in practice. TMetric allows you to automate this process making HRs and employees life easier!

Company name and address in invoices
We added the possiblity to set your company's name and address in order to use this information in invoices. We've changed the Workspace name to Company name and added a new field named 'Address' to the workspace settings.
Adding client address
Now when you create a new client, you can add not only his name but also address. Each time you bill the client, his address will be added to an invoice automatically.
